Biographical Info

Lauren Groner, D.O. is a radiologist specializing in Cardiothoracic Radiology. She is an Assistant Professor of Radiology at ÈÕ±¾avÉ«ÇéƬ and an Assistant Attending Radiologist at the NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital-ÈÕ±¾avÉ«ÇéƬ Campus.      

Dr. Groner graduated from Michigan State University where she earned her B.S. in Physiology in 2007. She then received her D.O. at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2013.      

Following a one-year internship at Maimonides Medical Center, Dr. Groner completed a diagnostic radiology residency from 2014 to 2018 at Atlantic Health System/Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University, after which she completed a fellowship in Cardiothoracic Imaging from 2018 to 2019 at the NewYork-Presbyterian/ÈÕ±¾avÉ«ÇéƬ Medical Center. In July 2019, Dr. Groner subsequently joined the faculty at NewYork-Presbyterian/ÈÕ±¾avÉ«ÇéƬ Department of Radiology as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Radiology and an Assistant Attending Radiologist. Dr. Groner’s clinical expertise is in cardiothoracic imaging. She interprets a wide range of imaging examinations, including radiography, chest CT (including high-resolution CT), thoracic MRI, cardiac CT, PET, and CT and MR angiography of the chest, abdomen, and pelvis.

Dr. Groner's research interests primarily include lung cancer, lung cancer screening, and health equity. She was recently awarded one of six inaugural 2022-2023 Dalio Center for Health Justice Grants for her study targeting provider-level barriers to low-dose CT lung cancer screening.
